Course E016: Leading and Managing Teams in 21st Century NGOs

This eight-week instructor-led e-learning course provides a comprehensive overview that balances theory with practical application, ensuring that participants are not only versed in modern leadership concepts but also equipped with the tools and skills necessary to effectively lead and manage teams in today's dynamic NGO environment.

Week 6: Conflict Resolution and Decision Making
Week 7: Leading Remote and Hybrid Teams
Week 8: Strategic Planning and Change Management

Course format

This certificate course involves approximately 40 hours of reading, discussion, video lectures, live classroom sessions, quizzes and one written assignment, and is offered over a eight-week period. The course includes weekly 90-minute (Zoom) live classroom sessions (on Tuesday's from 14h00-15h30 UTC/GMT) with the course instructors and/or guests experts. The course is based on a participatory, active learning approach, with an emphasis on critical reflection and peer-to-peer learning. Participants will do the required readings, prepare a written assignments and participate in group discussions. Case studies
 will be used to enable interactive learning and activities. The maximum number of course participants is 25. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate of Participation.
