Educators and trainers working in higher education, schools and the non-formal education sector, including museums and memorial sites, will be oriented towards the use of a new handbook for blending History Learning and Human Rights Education (HL-HRE). This blended approach draws on key themes from the historical periods of National Socialism and totalitarianism and is oriented towards a critical focus on the ways in which (positive) change has taken place in societies over time and is relevant for the present. Learners will critically review and discuss key concepts and examples of HL-HRE and develop or adapt lessons, activities or a training program for their own use.
